Leo Lozano began his journey as a licensed local pastor in 2020 and was ordained as a Deacon at the Annual Conference in the summer of 2024. For the past two and a half years, he has been serving the vibrant community of Revive GMC in Pasadena, Texas.
Before stepping into pastoral ministry, he led worship for over 20 years in both Spanish and English contexts. Most recently, during the Annual Conference held in The Woodlands, he had the honor of leading the worship team for the denomination’s first-ever inaugural bilingual service.
In his previous two appointments, he also led communications teams and, for the past two years, has been part of an innovative creative agency that supports churches and non-profits in effectively engaging their audiences.
He has a deep passion for the next generation and firmly believes that God is doing something remarkable in and through them. His conviction is that the Church is not called to entertain young people, but to empower and equip them to respond to God’s unique calling on their lives. This calling, he believes, is a shared responsibility—clergy, staff, and parents walking alongside the next generation, modeling what it means to follow Jesus in a world in need of the Gospel’s transforming power.
Twice he has started youth ministries from the ground up, first back in the UMC days at The Branch, a ministry of Chapelwood, where he also served as a bridge builder with one of its ministry partners: Spring Spirit Baseball, bringing a spiritual component to the community.
And in his last appointment at Revive in Pasadena where he started both a youth and a young adult ministry going from 0 to 14+ students. For the last two summers they have taken students to camp after more than a decade of no youth going to any camp.
The young adults meet weekly at a local coffee shop to go deeper in their faith and build strong relationships.
He and his children are excited to join the community in the heart of Richmond, Texas, and are eager to do life together with the Faith Methodist church family.
