Gale Towns - Faith Methodist Church

Gale Towns
Pastor Emeritus

I am so glad to be back at faith. I served here from 2006 through 2011. But I am getting ahead of myself.

I am a second career minister serving twenty years before retiring in 2019.  Faith Methodist was my second appointment with Mission Bend being my first and Friendswood third. On retirement we resumed worshiping at Faith. Prior to entering the ministry, I was in sales. In some ways I am still in sales, but now I offer the best thing anyone can receive; it’s available to everyone, everywhere, any time, it’s free, and it’s eternal. The best offer ever; a relationship with the author of everything the one true God.

In 2023 I was Ordained as an Elder in the Global Methodist Church. In August of 2023 I joined Faith’s staff in a part-time capacity as Pastor Emeritus.

I have lived in Fort Bend County for 45 years and in Pecan Grove since 2001. My wife Shelley and I have been married for 23 years. Shelley is a retired teacher and was a new teacher mentor for Lamar C.I.S.D for many years. Shelley’s son is Robert Lewis he is married to Alexandria and they have three children. The two Towns grandkids live in Tuscaloosa Alabama.

Being a part of Faith previously, we came back to many friends and have met many more. Shelley and I have found that the heart Faith is still people. The way people are received and brought into the congregation is amazing. I believe that is the reason Faith has grown so much and continues to grow. We both are happy to be a part of this dynamic church.
