David Dorn II is originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast where he grew up as a life long Methodist. In 2009 he graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in History. From there David moved to Kentucky to attend Asbury Theological Seminary where in 2013 where he earned his Masters of Divinity.

While in seminary, David founded The Pursuit Blog and the Preposterous Project ministries on YouTube where he accrued over a million views. He is author of two books, Reclaiming Anger and Under Wraps Youth Study from Abingdon Press. He is co-author of the video Bible study It Is Finished available exclusively on RightNowMedia.com.

David was appointed as the Senior Pastor at Faith Methodist Church in Richmond, Texas in June of 2020. Previously, David served as an associate pastor at Marvin Methodist Church in Tyler, TX and The Woodlands Methodist Church in The Woodlands, TX.

David also serves as a Circuit Presiding Elder in the Eastern Texas Conference of the Global Methodist Church.

He is married to the love of his life, Aimee, since 2010 and together they have three daughters: Magen, Hali and Ava Grace along with two grandsons, Konnor and Keaton.

In his down time, David loves to spend time with family and is an avid film enthusiast, golfer and vintage toy collector.
