A. W. Jackson Elementary is committed to promoting a positive learning climate that will foster life-long learning, success, and literacy for every student in this multi-cultural school. We have a long-standing relationship with Jackson where we come alongside the school. We hold an annual school supplies drive, quarterly teacher appreciation, and a Christmas gift to all staff. Volunteers are always needed. Contact Pastor RaMona Riggs for more information.
Building Ramps for the Mobility Impaired.
For over a decade, members of Faith Methodist Church have volunteered their time with Fort Bend Ramps to build wheelchair ramps, and porches for neighbors in need. This group builds relationships with our neighbors, assesses sites, purchases materials, and constructs quality products with special and loving care. Fort Bend Ramps has scheduled workdays typically one Saturday morning each month. Join us on a build regardless of your skill level! Email Pastor Gale Towns to learn more.
Take a look at the Fort Bend Ramps webpage to learn more about this ministry.
Fort Bend Hope is solely focused on education as they believe education is the key to breaking the cycle of generational poverty. Education is so much more than facts or figures. It is opportunity and choice. It is control of your own future. It is an investment in yourself and your family. Members at Faith Methodist Church volunteer their time teaching both adults and students in a variety of subjects. Email Adam Yates for more information or visit their website: fortbendhope.org
Rosenberg-Richmond Helping Hands was founded in 1985 by churches in the West Fort Bend County area, as a non-profit organization that helps people in crisis by providing basic needs on a short-term basis. Faith Methodist Church has partnered with Helping Hands to provide assistance until the individual or family becomes self-sufficient. Our church assists by packing food and preparing for clients on the second Saturday of each month. If you are interested in serving, sign-up today.

Founded in 1952, Compassion International is a Christian child development organization that works to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Compassion revolutionized the fight against global poverty by working exclusively with the Church to lift children out of spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty.
We encourage you to pray about sponsorship of the children in need. This will be an opportunity to stretch beyond the shadow of our steeple into the world around us and connect these children with the grace of Jesus.
Faith Methodist Church envisions a community where discipleship thrives, relationships flourish, spiritual growth is nurtured, families are strengthened, neighbors are served, and grace binds us together. We have a strong Emmaus community which supports that vision.
What is the Walk to Emmaus? A weekend that seeks to inspire, challenge, and equip leaders for Christian action in their homes, places of work, their communities, and their churches empowering you to be the hands and feet of Christ. Designed to meet you wherever you are on your spiritual journey as a Christian.
What happens on the Emmaus weekend? You will hear fifteen messages given by lay people and clergy. You will also sing, reflect, worship, learn, share Holy communion, participate in small groups, and understand Christian love in action.
You can learn more about the Walk to Emmaus by emailing Merrilyn Stockton or visit the Houston West Emmaus Community website by clicking here.
We invite you to be a part of our Outreach Ministries and experience the joy of serving others. No matter your age, background, or experience, your willingness to give your time and heart is what matters most.
