Threads of Hope
Threads of Hope is a mission outreach of Faith Methodist Church, dedicated to being the heart and hands of Jesus to those in need. We welcome anyone wishing to join this ministry where we work, play, pray and fellowship together. There is a niche for everyone considering the variety of handmade items that require sewing, surging, knitting, crocheting, tying, washing and ironing, cutting and stuffing. Prior experience is not required as members are always available to assist new members and with new projects.
Threads of Hope currently meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 9:30 a.m. until noon in room 157 of the Annex, dependent upon possible scheduling conflicts. For additional information or questions please contact caring@faithmc.org.
Prayer Shawls
The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice which embodies thoughts and prayers for the receiver. It is a gift freely given with no strings attached. Made in prayer, as prayer, for prayer. Prayer Shawls are given for many life events from joy to great sorrow.
If you or someone you know would benefit from receiving a shawl please email Pastor RaMona Riggs at ramona.riggs@faithmc.org.
If you would like to join us in making shawls, please email caring@faithmc.org.
Soul Sisters
Are you a woman that has lost your soulmate/significant other? Do you sometimes feel lost and not sure which way to turn? You are not alone. Join other women that have lost their soulmate in this journey through grief. Merrilyn Stockton, a member of Faith Methodist Church, a widow, and a certified grief counselor will join Pastor RaMona leading a weekly study titled “Beyond the Broken Heart.” The study is for seven weeks after church on Sundays during the year.
If you or someone you know would like to be part of this group, please email Pastor RaMona Riggs at ramona.riggs@faithmc.org.
